After purchasing my tickets, I decided to explore the surrounding areas of the Lotte Hotel.
I stumbled upon Cheonggyecheon River which is a 8.4km creek which cuts across the downtown area. The river was featured in many tourism magazines and at night, there are laser shows to accentuate the area.
This place was on my list of places to go but I got there without any formal planning! Being a hot day, I saw many people taking off their shoes and soaking their feet in the river. I did that too.
On the way back to the hotel I also dropped by a cafe call Cafe Bene for some waffle and milk tea. It went instantly into my list of favourite cafes around the world. I soon found from a friend that Cafe Bene is one of the newest, mpost popular and fastest growing cafe chains in Korea.
