Sabrina & I have recently been following the adventures of two sets of intrepid adventurers as they undertake very different journeys, but with a common theme of China as a part of the journey.
Firstly there is Rich (in name and probably financial status considering what he is doing) who has a great blog called Vagabonding on the Roof of the World. With some buddies, Rich is cycling across the mountains & valleys of northern India, Pakistan, western China, Tibet and Nepal.
He left on the 28th of June and will be away for about 6 months! How's that for an awesome trip, to experience those vast areas of Asia on a bike - to really see the beauty of the areas and to really get up and close with the people.
The writing is excellent and really sucks you into the adventure - that combined with Rich's fantastic photography makes this a must see travel blog - add it to your RSS reader now!
Then there is Iain and Claire with their lovely Old World Wandering Travelogue. Iain and Claire having finished their studies (both with English degrees and Iain with a journalism major) and are moving from the UK to Shanghai to teach English. The difference between these two and most of the others that come here to teach English is the fact that they are traveling by road through virtually every country in Europe and Asia!
The writing of their entries is (not surprising for their uni degrees) very detailed and alluring. The photos they have put up so far are excellent, and I look forward to more as they travel further into the reaches of Asia.
Its a long journey begun in June and I have no idea when it will conclude here in Shanghai - so get their feed and keep tabs on their movements - it will be a fun ride!
Sabrina and I are very jealous of the travels of these two seperate groups, but we feel a connection with them for their sense of adventure, their obvious love of life and passion for travel. Good luck Rich, Iain & Claire - we look forward to one day sharing a beer in a remote Nepalese village with you!

I thought it would be a good idea to share what camera gear I use. I shoot (sometimes) with a Canon EOS350D with standard EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 II lens and EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM zoom lens.

Brad & Sabrina,
Thanks for your good words;) It's great to know that someone reads and enjoys my blog. Besides doing it for friends, family and my own memories, I also want others to visit these place through my pictures and stories... Hopefully, I can wake up their travel bugs, make them jump on a plane, come here and see it for themselves;)
Btw, if I somehow make it to Shanghai (in a couple of years, maybe), I'll definitely look you guys up. Beer on me;)
